Cawley Physical Therapy & Rehabilitation is a family owned and operated business, started  in 2003 by Courtney E. and Frank J. Cawley MPT. Courtney received her B.S. degree in Sociology and Psychology from Cedar Crest College in Allentown, PA.  Frank received his B.S. in Biology from East Stroudsburg University in 1996 then went on to receive his masters in Physical Therapy from Hahnemann University in Philadelphia, PA in 1999.

Frank is a Direct Access Provider for Physical Therapy and can accept patients without a direct referral from your doctor. CPTR’s original office location was established in Plains back in 2003. That main office was relocated to downtown Pittston and now features a state of the art indoor pool for warm water aquatics rehabilitation.  Satellite offices can also be found in Kingston, Dunmore, Scranton and Nanticoke.  These multiple locations enable us to better serve the populations of both Lackawanna and Luzerne counties.

CPTR is the premier choice for patients and physicians when people need physical therapy. We provide individualized one on one (1:1) attention to each and every patient based on their needs and condition. The therapists at CPTR take your problems very serious but make getting better fun and not seem like a job. We are able to accomplish this because all of our highly trained seasoned staff, love and enjoy what we do. This is carried over into each patients recovery process. Our treatment approach is simple treat each and every patient like family.

Frank Cawley – Owner – MPT

Frank Cawley is a lifetime resident of the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Area. Frank is a graduate from Pittston Area High School. Upon graduation, Frank zeroed in on passion to help others and went on received his bachelors degree in Biology from East Stroudsburg University in 1996 and then went on to receive his degree in Physical Therapy from Hahnemann University Philadelphia, PA 1999.

Stephanie Corl – DPT

Stephanie joins us from Austria where she received her B.S. in Health Science and Physical Therapy in 2007 from the Academy for Physical Therapy in Vienna, Austria. She then acquired her Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy in 2015 from the College of St. Scholastica in Duluth, MN. Stephanie has extensive experience working with patients in orthopedics, trauma, neurology, Women’s Health, pediatrics and geriatrics.

Stephanie believes in customized treatments, considering each patient’s individual needs and in treating the human body as a whole. She is very passionate about serving patients and providing the highest level of care possible.

Jesse Yurko – DPT

Jesse received his Masters of Science in Physical therapy in 2011 then his Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2013 where all of these degrees were received from Misericordia University. Jesse has 4 years of clinical experience with special interests in geriatric rehabilitation, vestibular rehabilitation, and outpatient orthopedic rehabilitation. Jesse is also a credentialed clinical instructor through the American Physical Therapy Association to guide physical therapist student education to improve their skills and knowledge as a physical therapist.

Timothy Dymond – DPT

Tim has worked as a PT for 2 years. He has acquired a Bachelors in Biology and also a doctorate in Physical Therapy both from Misercordia University. He has been employed with CPTR since 2010. 

Jeff Frail – DPT

Jeff received his Doctorate and Masters of Physical Therapy at Misericordia University. He acquired a Bachelors Degree of Health Fitness Management from East Stroudsburg University. He eahrned a Associates of Health and Physical Education at Luzerne County Community College. Jeff has been with CPTR since 2006.

Heather Marsico

Heather received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from Misericordia University in 2014 and her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2017. Heather joins Cawley Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation after completing a clinical education experience with us during the Summer of 2017. Heather has a strong passion for treating patients of all ages with a variety of diagnoses, and is committed to provide the best possible patient care.
